Designed and CNC-milled a series of parametric wood wall panels to explore algorithmic surface texturing, toolpath dynamics, and physical material depth.
PARAMETRIC TEXTURE EXPLORATION: Created a series of physical wood wall panels exploring algorithmic surface relief and organic tactile depth. Developed Grasshopper parametric scripts (panel_000.gh) in Rhino 3D to generate continuous mathematical surface modulations.
TOOLPATH & CAM GENERATION: Translated 3D surface meshes into custom ShopBot CNC toolpaths (.sbp g-code), balancing roughing passes with high-precision ball-nose finishing passes to carve fluid, undulating grooves directly into solid wood stock.
MATERIALITY & TACTILE FINISH: Milled physical prototypes to test how light, shadow, and natural wood grain interact with digital toolpath trajectories, bridging digital algorithmic design with tactile woodworking craftsmanship.
