Notre Dame

Notre Dame is great, it’s magnificent. I’m sad to see any building go, but especially one that is so iconic. It’s no coincidence Youtube’s algorithms conflated this event with the demise of the Trade Towers: Buildings that stand tall hold sway over our memories. But I have a feeling about the little guy and why they are ignored when they get torn down. So much wealth and power is symbolised in the two burning structures and the instantaneous outpouring of support for them seems ironic given how little has been spent mourning the sorry state of poor people in the world.
